Back up to Easter

Oops. I forgot to add our pictures from Easter. We had a fun family day that began with an egg hunt in the back garden followed by a day at the Fairyhouse Racetrack. We did this last year too. Easter is a big Family Fun Day at the track so there are many activities to keep the kids entertained between each race. This year they got to ride on a pony and Isabella rode a horse.

Here are some pictures of us just hanging out doing normal daily activities. Emmett's first bath at the hospital and his first big bath at home, a family picnic at Ardgillan Castle on one of our beautiful sunny days, and the kids playing with their good friends Bronagh and our next door neighbor, Eve.

Park, Beach, Birthday

This is what everyone was doing while I stayed home with Emmett and recovered. They had the best weather of the summer that week so were able to spend a lot of time outside. Oh and we must not forget that Daddy turned 30! Happy 30th Eric!

Emmett's Birth Day

We were overjoyed to welcome Emmett Ryan Meyer to our family on May 20, 2010 at 6:00 in the evening. He weighted 10 pounds 15 ounces and was almost 22 inches long. He looks a little worse for wear, but the bruises went away pretty quickly. These are all pictures of us at the hospital. We were fortunate enough to have Grandma there in time for his arrival and that certainly made getting to the hospital easier. We didn't have to worry about getting Isabella and Nolan to someone's house or how they would handle all of the chaos that went along with staying at someone's house overnight. Grandma's plane landed at 8:00 AM and Eric and I were in the hospital by 11:30 AM. It all worked out brilliantly.

Visit to the Children's Museum

Here are a few random shots of the kids playing at the children's museum in Dublin. They loved the grocery store and the post office. Nolan was overly happy with the ball wall thing. What a goof :)

Vacation with Gramma in Tenerife, Canary Islands

At the very end of February my mom flew over to Dublin and we took the kids on a vacation to the sunny island of Tenerife, Spain in the Canary Islands. We were there for five days and wish we could have stayed the whole month, year, lifetime.... :) Needless to say, it was beautiful and sunny and warm. We all enjoyed the fact that we could wear sandals, shorts and short sleeves. We stayed in this fantastic apartment resort which had two pools and was right on the beach. Although the beach wasn't a sandy beach and the ocean was kind of cold, so we didn't really go there. We had our own apartment which was wonderful for the kids. They had room to play on the patio and a room to take naps in we cooked some of our own meals and just relaxed. So here are some pictures from our little vacation...my last vacation before the new baby arrives.
